Antoine brings Liz back to his place after he has knocked her over in a car accident. Little by little, she moves into his house and worms her way into his life. Antoine, who has been shut up in his Manor-house all his life will try, through this chance meeting to give a new meaning to his education based on chosen poetry, music and painting.

 

Antoine plays towards Liz the part of Pygmalion and pupil simultaneously. Involuntary, they embark on an internal odyssey to find freedom and a means of self-expression. But before reaching their goal, Antoine must come clean with his own past.
